This is one of my favorite Pictures...I got these from two different pictures also. Herc was easy to draw, but Iolaus, he was very diffacult. I always liked Iolaus more than Herc anyway...I always thought he was the underdog. Don't get me wrong, I always thought Herc was good looking, but not very personable, Ioulas was always the comic relief, too, which made him more lovable! I hope you all like!
Great shading, Deppfan...better than i could ever do!!!! ^_^ I understand completely the issue of doing a better job on one character over another due to favoritism. I believe that is where the desire to perform one's best on a piece of artwork comes in and should be embraced openly.
You really have some talent here, its so hard to do real life as well as you have done, since we see ourselves 24/7 and are able to pick out flaws easily.
Keep up the great work,

I was once told that when you draw a character, you put a little of your own character into the drawing. I believe that's true. Also I believe that when a person or character looks like someone you know and are comfortable with, you do a better job.
One of the first real lessons in art that I was taught was to make the dark parts DARK, and the light parts LIGHT. That was hard for me to do at first, but I guess 25 years of practice kinda helped. I really love to draw people. I could never do what you guys do, with the drawings that you do, and could never come close to Dustin's stuff. I guess I'm a little hard on myself, doing this kind of art, but I love the challenge.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
